About Chen Style Taiji (Tai Chi)
General Chen Wang Ting (1600-1680, the Ming Dynasty) the creator, who returned to his homeland in Chen Jia Gou, Henan Province. Since the exercise involved martial arts, Taiji had once been banned for decades. Thanks to the Chen families, it has still been passed down smoothly within the lineage. Many Taiji masters have devotedly been interpreting those ancient terms, decoding the movements, and passing knowledge to the younger generations.
